With wide fairways giving way to challenging green complexes highlighted by tricky, undulating putting surfaces, The Links golf course showcases the artistry of Pete Dye’s genius. This shotmaker’s 18 weaves through our beautiful, verdant resort grounds while offering spectacular vistas of the Caribbean Sea from several holes.

Altos de Chavon was Built in 1976, 100 meters above the Chavón River and carved completely out of stone, Altos de Chavón is a replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village.

This charming village was designed by the Dominican architect José Antonio Caro and got his finishing touch  by the Italian jet-set designer Roberto Coppa, who came up with the concept behind Altos de Chavón, Roberto Coppa became famous of working many years with the Italian film makers Federico Fellini and Luciano Visconti.

Altos de Chavón brings history and culture together. With an diversity of businesses like, jewelry and handicraft shops, bars, restaurants and a stunning view  over the Chavón River. This unique place is located on the eastern side of the Dominican Republic and  was once used by pirates to hide treasures and also to transport precious woods during colonial times.

From the village you can also enjoying gorgeous views of Dye Fore Golf Course, a masterpiece created by the American designer Pete Dye and featuring 27 holes, seven of them runs along the edge of a cliff overlooking the Chavón River.

Altos de Chavón is a unique place that brings its visitors to a Mediterranean village and a Greek amphitheater, every single detail of buildings, paths, stone and iron sculptures has been made by local artisans.
