Santo Domingo, the capital and largest city of the Dominican Republic, is a vibrant and historic city with plenty of things to see and do. Here are just a few ideas for your visit:
- Visit the historic center of the city, the Zona Colonial, which is home to several historic landmarks and buildings, including the Catedral de Santo Domingo, the first cathedral in the New World, and the Alcázar de Colón, a castle-like structure that was once the home of Christopher Columbus’ son Diego.
